About the author : Rav Shmuel ben Rav Yehoshua Zelig from דלהינוב was a close disciple of Rav Chaim Mivolozhin. He was the Rav of דלהינוב איליה, and in 5610 he made Aliya to Eretz Yisrael. His two sons-in-law were Rav Eliyahu Yehuda Deyches and Rav Eliyahu ben Rav Moshe Stertzler . His only son Dovid Mordechai passed away in his early years, and he became well known by his sefer " Sha'arey Dim'ah" - Prayers to be recited at the Western Wall and at the Holy sites. (D.iM.A.H. is acronym of Dovid Mordechai Alav Hashalom).
