Пильняк Борис Андреевич (1894−1938) − выдающийся русский писатель 1920−1930-х гг., блестящий стилист-экспериментатор. В 1922−1934 гг. часто выезжал за рубеж, посетил многие страны Европы и Азии. Несмотря на критику, вплоть до 1937 г. Пильняк оставался одним из самых издаваемых писателей. В 1938 г. был осужден по сфабрикованному обвинению в государственном преступлении — шпионаже в пользу Японии, приговорен к смертной казни и расстрелян. Реабилитирован в 1956 г.
Boris Andreyevich Pilnyak (Russian: Бори́с Андре́евич Пильня́к; October 11 [O.S. September 29] 1894 – April 21, 1938) was a Russian and Soviet writer who was executed by the Soviet Union on false claims of plotting to kill Joseph Stalin and Nikolay Yezhov.
